Last Sunday it was time for the annual Christmas ladies day out. For three years now my mum, her friend Colette and I have headed out to Leeds Christmas market for some festive fun. Leeds isn’t too far away from us which is why it’s been our choice for the last few years. Plus the market is quite nice and the decorations around the city are beautiful.
We hit up all our usual spots, we headed to the market first for a wander around before sampling some of the food. We all went for different things but the garlic bread with cheese and salami I had was amazing. We then headed into the Alpine Chalet (for anyone visiting the market, it’s the one with the singing moose outside) for our traditional Snowman drink, seriously it’s amazing but be warned it’s very strong! It’s a delicious mix of mulled wine, rum and amaretto topped with cream. We then headed away from the market to do a spot of shopping before heading back up to Millennium Square to see the market all lit up in the dark. Our final stop of the day was Bella Italia for some tea before heading home full of festive cheer! I vlogged parts of my day out so if you’d like to, you can watch the video here.
It was an absolutely lovely day out and the perfect start to the Christmas season. However because we’ve done Leeds quite a few times now we’re thinking of heading somewhere different next year so who knows where we’ll end up!
