Last Sunday I enjoyed a girls day out with my mum and her friend at
Leeds Christmas Market. We all went last year and really enjoyed the day
out so think it's going to become a tradition now. While Leeds market
is quite small compared to some other markets it's not too far for us to
travel so it's a quick journey to get into the festive mood. There's
some really lovely food and drink stalls and I definitely recommend
tracking down the fried cheese stall and the drinks cabin with the
singing moose outside for the best drink you'll ever have, a Snowman
(mulled wine, amaretto and rum with cream!)
The decorations in the city are really beautiful especially around Victoria Quarter. We even had a bit of snow the day we visited which added to the magic, though it did start to feel very cold after a while. If you don't live too far from Leeds, I'd definitely recommend visiting over Christmas.
