Tips For Skincare On Your Travels This Year

When on your travels, it’s important to look after your skin. Why? Well, depending on where you travel within the world, the environment and the experiences you have, may impact the health of your skin.

This isn’t just your face but the entirety of your body. When you’re travelling, it’s easy to neglect your skincare but it’s a form of self-care that’s important to practice every day. Whether you’re travelling for just a few days or weeks, here are some tips for skin care on your travels this year.

Be sure to hydrate your skin daily

Hydrating your skin is an absolute must and if you’re not doing this daily, you’re going to notice a lot of dry skin and breakouts.

Keeping your skin hydrated is important, whether you’re travelling to a hotter climate or one that’s extremely cool. Think about hydrating moisturisers that can go effortlessly under any makeup or other skincare that might be part of your routine.

Water-based moisturisers are a great shout, along with oils that help to lock in the moisture you’re laying down on your skin.

Apply a good SPF protection regularly

A good SPF goes a long way in protecting your skin. If you’re someone that’s smart, you’ll understand that SPF is highly effective when it comes to your skin. Not only does it create that barrier for your skin to sit out in the sun, but it also prevents burning and other nasty skin conditions – the most dangerous being skin cancer.

Applying your SPF liberally is important when it comes to your skincare and should also be done regularly throughout the day.

Opt for face primers when wearing makeup all day

Face primers are great when you’re going to be out all day and want a makeup look that’s going to last. Whether that’s super glamorous or one that’s fairly subtle, a face primer is a great choice as a base to apply before your makeup.

A great face primer will leave your skin feeling fairly tacky, meaning the makeup you use, i.e. the foundation and concealer is going to sit on your face for longer than is typical. Even if it’s not the most expensive makeup, a good face primer is all you need for longevity on your makeup application.

Exfoliate regularly to remove SPF

To help with your skin’s health and appearance, make sure you’re exfoliating your skin regularly. This will help to remove any of the SPF that’s been sitting on your skin, which is likely to be daily in most cases.

Exfoliating through five-minute masks or scrubs is going to help your skin greatly.

Find skincare products that complement the living environment

Be sure to find the skincare products that are going to cater to the living environment and climate of the place you’re travelling to in particular. These are the skincare products that will help your skin the most.

If you’re looking for some skincare inspiration, make sure to use these tips for your travel this year.
