What a month April was! Spring absolutely was not springing here which was unfortunate as I’m definitely ready for some warmer weather now but there was lots of fun things happening nonetheless! Just how are we racing towards been half way through this year already? Let’s take a look back at April.

April was a jam packed month and certainly a little busier than the previous couple of months. It’s been a nice balance of fun activities and getting those self-care and rest days in too. Absolutely not about that burn out over here! So let’s get into the lovely month of April:
1. I kicked off the month with a lovely weekend to myself as my husband was working away. There was lots of trash tv and yummy food involved including this mini Easter cheesecake that I made. It was absolutely delicious and seen as there’s only me that likes cheesecake there was no guilt in whipping this up just for myself!
2. It’s been a very ‘treat yourself’ kind of month but sometimes you just have to have times like that. I ordered the new Made By Mitchell Blursh Book and and makeup brush set too and I have absolutely no regrets because the quality of both things is insane! And those colours in the Blursh Book are just *chef’s kiss*.
3. The biggest event of April was definitely attending our first ever Star Wars Celebration. When it was announced last year that Celebration would be in London we knew we had to jump at the chance. We vlogged our whole experience at Celebration and even though it was a very up and down trip, ultimately I’m really glad it’s something we got to experience.
4. Spring may not have been springing but it was a summer party on my nails! There’s nothing quite like neon orange nails to cheer you up. If the weather could just match now that would be great!
5. I ordered what is quite possibly the best ever t-shirt when I found this Pedro Pascal top. Josh hates it. I love it. I’ll be living in it from now on.
6. We ended the month with a little Sunday afternoon drinking session for the bank holiday which was lots of fun and ended with pizza which is always a big win.
7. I’ve been trying to get out on more walks this month. My exercise routine is non-existent at the moment so I’ve been making an effort to get a few more steps in each day. I enjoy going for walks and it’s really taken that pressure off from exercising.
8. The next home project began in April, though it’s a relatively small one this time. I’m giving our porch a full makeover because it’s literally the first thing you see when you walk into our home and it’s awful. It’s a tiny 4ft x 4ft so space is a big issue so I’ve ordered a lovely slim shoe cabinet which should be arriving in May to make it a lot tidier. I’ve repainted it all ready and started buying some little accessories for on top of the cabinet. The next step will be to paint our front door but that will have to wait until a little later in the year after our holiday as I want to replace all the door furniture too. I can’t wait to have a cleaner and brighter look to the front of our home.
So that was April. May will probably be a little quieter but there’ll be lots of holiday prep going on and a little more work on the porch makeover both of which a fairly exciting for me!
I hope you all had a lovely April. Let me know what you got up to in the comments.

I love that you have treated yourself this month! I hope you have a fab May x

It looks like you had a really fun and busy time! My April was busy with a lot of work and planning. I had a job transition and I’m happy to be back to blogging. I’ve enjoyed catching up on some of my favorite blogs. I hope your May is great too!
How fun! Sounds like you had a great April.
really enjoyed this post and seeing what you’ve been up to this past month. Looks like you had a lot of fun with a nice mix of rest and relaxation. Self care is so important, & I too am looking to prioritize self care a lot more.
