10 Years

18.12.07 – 10 years ago today a boy with slightly too long and over straightened hair asked me to be his girlfriend over the phone. Here we are all these years later, best friends, partners in crime, cat parents and still going strong.

What an incredible 10 years it’s been, from our first holidays together, moving to university together, booking dream holiday’s that we never imagined would happen, to becoming home owners and parents to two furry boys. I couldn’t have picked anyone better to share all those experiences with. 

I do believe that certain people are just made for each other and I’m so lucky I found my match early on in life, I mean who else would put up with and match my wholly inappropriate sense of humour and my nerdiness?! Only Josh.

I don’t want to fill this page with mushy stuff but I’d like to offer a simple celebration of our 10th anniversary. Without Josh I’d be lost, he’s by my side for everything, the good and the bad. He makes me laugh everyday and there honestly isn’t a day that goes by where my heart doesn’t burst with love for him.

So on our 10th year together I just want to say, Josh, thank you for all that you’ve done and continue to do. For making me the happiest person ever. For making me laugh until I cry and wiping away the tears and snot bubbles when I’m sad. For being the person who is just as inappropriate as I am and for not judging when I’ve bought another item for my Disney collection (probably because you’ve just bought something new for your Star Wars collection!). Thank you for all the amazing memories we’ve created together over the past 10 years, I’ve grown from a teenager to an adult with you and I can’t wait to see where the rest of our time together takes us. I love you with all my heart.
