Happy List: March 2024

11 April 2024 Leave a Comment

Better late than never right?! Life has been busy, busy, busy in recent weeks but you know me and these Happy Lists and I just can’t miss one, even if it does end up being late! As I predicted at the end of the last list, March was pretty quiet because I’ve just been solidly focused on work in preparation for a two-week holiday this month. Such is the self-employed life! Despite the quiet month, there were a few highlights, so let’s take a look at how March went!

1. March ended up being my best-ever month for blog earning. Blogging isn’t my job but now I’m self-employed the hope was to start focussing on my blog a little more. It’s just so difficult though when you have client work to do! Despite the fact I’ve been blogging for 13 years now I find it quite tricky to make money from my blog but the universe really came through for me in March and I hit a pretty good figure for me. Now if only every month could be like that!

2. We invested in a new camera ready for our upcoming Florida holiday, which we will be vlogging. We’ve gone for a GoPro so we can film in the waterparks and share our adventures over on YouTube! It’s strange to be going back to vlogging after such a big break but I’m excited to share all the (hopefully) exciting things we have in store this year.

3. There was a lot of LEGO building happening in March. I’ve mentioned it over on Instagram but one of my clients is a LEGO site. Sadly the work has taken a bit of a back seat at the moment which I’m gutted about but it’s definitely sparked a passion in me, so who knows what the future will hold!

4. I hit the gym hard in March. I can’t believe I’m a gym girly now (I say that, and for complete transparency, I haven’t been in 3 weeks because I’ve been so busy then I got quite ill). I can’t wait to get back to swimming and the gym after our holiday though. I’m not going to lie, the gym still fills me with fear every time I go but once I’m there it’s all good!

5. You know it’s been a quiet month when it’s a cat-heavy photo session! The boys are just too cute to not take a million photos of though. I can’t believe Thomas has been with us for 9 months now. All three boys get along pretty well now, as you can see from Buddy and Thomas sleeping together! They melt my heart.

April’s Happy List will be a bumper one! We’re off on a two-week holiday to Florida shortly and I’m so excited. I’ve actually been quite poorly recently but I seem to finally be shaking it off which is good. Some sunshine and theme park magic are going to do wonders for my soul, I can just feel it!

How was March for you? What did you get up to? Let me know in the comments!
