Well we’re in to spring now finally! We were blessed with a few glorious days at the end of March so I hope there’s more of that soon, though we seem to have gone back to the cold temperatures now. Not a fan. March felt like a funny month, another month in lockdown. Another month of the same old stuff. Things are looking up though so I’m hoping these Happy Lists will start to pick up again.

I’ll be honest, and you’ve probably noticed, but I’ve been really slacking with this blog this year. When the new year rolled in I knew I had to scale back how much time I was dedicating to this blog. I’d just completed Blogmas which if you do it you’ll know it’s a lot of work. I was also bringing back my wedding blog after taking a break from it. Between working, juggling two blogs and trying to have some time to myself something had to give. It’s ended up being this blog I’m afraid. I’ve needed my downtime more than ever this year and my wedding blog is just about to go self hosted so I’ve been working on a bunch of new stuff for that. Right now I just don’t have the passion for this blog that I did last year. But it will come back. I just feel in a really funny place with it right now.
Anyway. Enough about my blogging or lack of it. You came here to nosey what I got up to in March so here we go!
1. I bought my first ever wedding magazine. That’s right after over two years of being engaged and with only 5 months to go until my own wedding I finally got a wedding magazine. I’ve subscribed to the next few issues of the Rock N Roll Bride magazine and I’m loving it. It sparked an idea for a wedding DIY too and I’m just really pleased to be getting back on with wedding stuff!
2. Speaking of wedding stuff. I had a go at making dried petal confetti in March. We have some petal confetti ordered but I had some beautiful roses and decided I just had to try drying them out myself. It turned out really well so I’ll be adding them to our confetti mix and probably drying some more petals out between now and the wedding.
3. We discovered a new walking route this month and it’s beautiful. I can’t believe we’ve never done it before. I’ve been doing couch to 5k but at the end of the month I got a cold that settled on my chest so I didn’t want to run. Instead we did a few nice long walks along the new route we discovered and I really enjoyed it.
4. Those few days of warm weather and the end of the month were amazing weren’t they? It was so nice to come home from work and sit in the garden. I can’t wait for more days like that. It’s a shame it’s got cold again now!
5. Lockdown restrictions finally stated easing this month. I seriously hope that this is it now, that this is the return to some normality and no going back. It meant that I could finally see my dad this month for the first time in 3 months. Fingers crossed for the 21st June!
So that was March. Not much going on much like the other months in lockdown but like I said things are hopefully looking up now and we can all start to live our lives again. I cannot wait to start doing more stuff and for more warmer days!
How was March for you? Let me know in the comments!

Consistency is the key to a successful blog. This March, I tried to be as consistent as I can be. I will try to become a better blogger in the near future. Good luck with your blog.
Good luck with yours too!
The beautiful warm weather was SO nice…. and then it snowed here again. We’re counting down until camping season hits, unfortunately, while you are all moving out of a lockdown, here in Ontario, Canada, we’re just entering into another one. We had a trip planned for my birthday in April, but it has now been cancelled with the lockdown set for a minimum of 4 weeks. Fingers still crossed that we will get to enjoy our May booking!
Oh no, I’m very sorry to hear that. We still have a long way to go in the U.K.
Yes, we had some lovely weather and it’s turned pretty cold again now!
The weather has been amazing these last few days, I hope it lasts for a while longer! I hope you have an amazing April Lauren! x

You too!
Nice post
Thanks.
I love these types of posts, it sounds like March was a great one for you! I’m now loving the lighter days xx
Thank you! Yes, I’m loving the lighter days too!
Wedding planning is so exciting but also stressful! I’m glad you have an outlet in the form of a blog during such a time. I’ve also been doing couch to 5k and it’s been such a great way to get more active during lockdown.
It really is exciting but it definitely can be stressful!
Thank you for sharing your March favourites, dried petal confetti sounds so beautiful- when it comes to wedding asthetics I love everything floral x
Thank you, it worked out really well!
Thanks for sharing your happy list, I like the idea of your confetti 🙂
Thank you!
