10 cute stocking filler gift ideas on a budget

The Christmas Season is fast approaching so now is a fabulous time to start thinking about stocking fillers. Christmas can be an expensive time of year so it can be helpful to stick to a budget and find the less expensive gifts that are just as good!

Budget stocking filler gifts can be sourced from the internet with Esty being a great place to start. There are so many cute simple cheap gift ideas on Etsy. As well as making a great purchase you are supporting somebody’s small business and they will appreciate you so much!

I have come up with 10 items under £15 that would be great stocking fillers for your family. Christmas does not have to be expensive and can be just as good if you are on a budget.

So, let us get started:

Socks

I could not go on without mentioning the most popular stocking filler in case anyone had forgot. As you get older, you realise socks are the ideal gift for anyone of any age. I do not know about you but for some reason I go through socks like there is no tomorrow. Plus, everyone needs a pair of Christmas socks to wear on Christmas Day! If you are from the UK, you can get some super cute pairs of socks in Primark for a decent price.

Even better if they are Christmas socks!

Perfume samples

Perfume samples are normally free meaning they are perfect for a budget stocking filler. You can order perfume samples online from places such as The Perfume Shop and only have to pay for delivery. 

I am signed up to Save the Student and they regularly send me emails with deals on. A few times I have been able to sign up to get some free samples sent to me with no delivery fee. If you meet the requirements for Save the Student I recommend you sign up.

Hot chocolate packets

Hot chocolate packets are a great DIY package to create yourself to save money. You can source out some hot chocolate power, some marshmallow and some chocolate square and put them all in a jar together. Check them out on Etsy to see what you can come up with. Alternatively, you can buy these already hand made on Etsy.

Film Keyrings

Now I wanted to include these, despite them being a little more on the pricy side I thought they were an excellent gift idea. I thought this was a super cool idea that I had not seen before. You can select a few pictures to add onto photo film which gets rolled up into a keyring. Take a look at them on Photo Moon Lamp to get a better idea of what I am trying to explain. These can range from £10 – £16 but I really recommend you look into them.

Sustainable products – Metal Straws

Gifting sustainable products can be a great move this Christmas. You can buy these from UK stores such as Primark, Aldi and B and M and online at eBay and Amazon. They are a super handy gift and a great addition to your stocking gifts.

I have been wanting metal straws for so long they are such a great alternative to plastic straws, and they last a lot longer than paper straws.

Sustainable products – Razors

Recently there has been lots of talk about sustainable razors which are reusable. I have mostly heard about Estrid and FFS. I have used both and I highly recommend. These razors are reasonably price at around £6-£9 for multiple blades and a reusable handle. I have written a review on Friction free Shaving Razors if you wanted to check that out.

Of course, chocolate

Any Christmas stocking needs some chocolate in it! It is a great budget friendly gift that you can pick up from anywhere. I normally get chocolate money in my stocking.

Tealights or Wax Melts

Tealights and wax melts are a cheap gift you can purchase to put in a Christmas stocking. If you are buying for someone who loves candles, then why not add to their collection. Again, you can get wax melts off Amazon and eBay. Or you can go to a Yankee Candle shop if you have one near you.

Christmassy earrings

Depending on whether the person you are buying for has their ears pierced or not, a fab budget stocking filler could be Christmassy earrings. Something a little different than your average earring. I have seen lots of little shops of Etsy selling these for around £3 – £20.

There are so many Christmassy designs out there so I am sure you will be able to find something in your budget that suits who you are buying for.

Gift Cards

A simple gift where you can put however much you like onto the card. A good idea is instead of choosing clothes shops, pick an activity such as a Crazy Golf Gift card or Afternoon tea. There is a saying along the lines of you will value experiences over physical items in the future. So, make memories with activities instead of buying clothes!

Additional: DIY Gift Ideas

DIY can be an excellent way to keep things cheaper. It also makes things more sentimental if they were handmade. DIY can be so much fun and makes sticking to a budget a little more exciting. There really are no limits just because you have to stick to a budget.
