Can we hit pause for a moment? September is over and we’re now in October. It’s crazy how fast time is going. I know a lot of people are eager to see the back of 2020 but it’s just mad that we’re now in the last 3 months of the year.

September was a quiet month but I knew it would be. With heading back to work after the 6 weeks summer holidays it always takes me a little time to adjust to being back in a work routine and I usually spend most of September feeling a little exhausted. This month was no different and I ended up with a cold too so I’ve just spent a lot of the month feeling pretty run down. Aside from that though, here’s what September looked like.
1. I had a pretty great wax melt delivery in the form of a Hogwart’s houses inspired box from Bubbles and Scents. The box was a amazing and the scents were pretty great too. I’ve done a full review of the box so be sure to have a read about it.
2. The last 4 months of the year are always my absolute favourite, I just love the ‘ber’ months so much. October and December are my joint two favourites. I just love every single thing about this time of year. In light of that I created a cosy autumn, Halloween and Christmas inspiration Instagram account called Spooks & Snow. It’s completely just for fun and I’m loving it. Give me a follow if you want!
3. Shop Disney released some Halloween items in the U.K. and admittedly the collection was pretty poor compared to what gets released in America. I really wish they’d realise that there’s a big Halloween fan base in the U.K. too. Anyway one of the good things that did get released was a Halloween 2020 pin so of course I had to have it!
4. We’ve been trying to walk more after work and admittedly we did stumble into a beer garden once or twice when we had that really nice weather but it’s been nice to come home from work and get out into the fresh air. The weather has definitely turned a little cooler now and I can’t wait to wrap up in a warm coat and a bobble hat for autumnal walks.
5. My lovely fiance has been bringing home some great Home Bargains finds. He usually goes out on a Sunday for a coffee with his dad and he’s recently picked up some festive hand sanitisers I can attach to my work lanyard (I’ve been doing this well before the rest of the country was doing when coronavirus hit), a big Halloween candle and two Halloween wax melt burners. I’ve been wanting a Halloween wax melt holder for a while now and these were only 99p each which I can’t quite believe.
6. If you’ve been following along with these posts from the start of the year you’ll know that this year we’ve been collecting the monthly pins released on Shop Disney. This month it was one of our favourite attractions, Big Thunder Mountain and I think this may be my favourite pin release to date.
We’re into Halloween month now and I can’t wait for all the cosy candles and horror films.
How was September for you? Let me know in the comments.

I love those Halloween 👻 🎃 things in the first picture 😱😍 super cute!
Thank you, they’re wax melt burner and they’re so cute.
Love the home bargains finds! I do love a good wax melt when the scent changes with the seasons! Your hand sanitiser comment, what do you do? I volunteer for Yorkshire ambulance service, been doing it 2 years in Jan 🙂
I work with autistic children in a resource provision within a primary school!
Great post my lovely, happy October! I’m sending you so much love. ♡

Thank you! Happy October!
Thanks! Haha me too!
Oh no, I always think it would be quite nice to experience living somewhere that is warm all year round but I do enjoy that crisp autumnal feeling.
It’s always good to reflect on the positives at the end of the month.
Thanks for sharing what you have been doing last month 🙂

Thanks for reading!
I am the same as you I love October and December I just don’t think anything can beat the magic that comes in those months! Plus I am a big Halloween fan and I agree that shop Disney in the UK just does not compare to the USA shop! 🎃But I have noticed that a lot of shops don’t have a lot of Halloween stuff this year which I’m sad about! I have also been trying to walk more and it’s just a nice release after a working day 😊
Yes I’ve noticed the same too, which is very disappointing. It’s a great way to chill out after work.
These sound like some great things! Collecting Disney pins is a great idea! I should do it so I can trade next time I’m at Disney!

It gets very addictive but pin trading at Disney is super fun!
Hmmmh. I smell holidays.
Best time of the year for sure.
It certainly is!
Lovely post! Ive definitley enjoyed getting cosy in the evenings now its getting colder and darker!
Thanks! I love cosy evenings, they’re the best!
I love October and December too because of Halloween and Christmas. Love the Halloween candle!
Thanks! They’re the best months.
Is Home Bargains the name of a store? Don’t you just love a bargain? Your fiance found some cute things to get in the spirit for Halloween!
Yes it’s a store here in the U.K.
This post got me some serious cosy vibes! Walking after work sounds lovely, as well as the beer gardens :- )
It’s always a good way to chill out after work, there’s nothing a good walk can’t fix!
Such a great postive post to wrap up the month. I got the Halloween candle too, its brilliant isn’t it!

Thank you! It’s a lovely candle.
This is a great list, I’m a big fan of the last few months of the year too, I find them so lovely and I just enjoy the cold more than the hot. I also love the smell of autumn and Christmas it’s so sweet, I’m all over the home bargain candles too! They’re so affordable and smell great x
Home Bargains candles are so good! Christmas and autumn scents are the best.
You made me laugh when you said that you may have ‘wandered into a beer garden’. That sounds like something my husband and I would do hahaha! He’s a craft beer blogger and that often leads to us making random stops for new beers when he notices something has been released lol
That sounds like a good day out to me!
It really helps doesn’t it?!
It does. It really helps after a stressful day at work.
Thank you so much. That really means a lot!
Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed it. It’s a great way to end a walk!
Thank you! It’s my favourite time of the year but I totally get what you mean!
Thank you so much! I know it’s going so fast.
I hope you have a fabulous month!
Thank you, I hope you do too!
I also LOVE October – isn’t it a gorgeous month! So glad you had so much to be grateful for last month, chick! X
Thank you. It’s such a beautiful month.
