Hi!
Yesterday Josh and I took a break from doing work and decided to make the most of the sunshine and have a day out. We went to the Black Country Living Museum which has been created to look like a village in the Black Country in the Victorian era. It has a mine, village shops, fairground, school, canal and much more. You can look inside all the buildings and go on a tour down the mine and the canal has boat trips to the underground limestone mines.
One downside to the fact that neither of us can drive is that we don’t really go to any attractions together. We have lots of days out but it tends to be to easier to reach places whereas attractions tend to be difficult to get to using public transport and walking. However the Black Country Living Museum was really easy to get to on the train and walking so it was really nice to have a day out doing something different. We picked the perfect day to go as it was so warm and sunny (we even got a little sun burnt, oopps).
If it’s your sort of thing I’d really recommend the Black Country Living Museum as you can have a full day out there and it’s really interesting. We both really enjoyed it.
