This feels odd and hard to write. So far this year has been great but March saw the U.K. plunged into a situation none of us ever imagined. A global pandemic which has resulted in the lockdown of many countries, the U.K. included. It’s hard to find the positives with nothing to look forwards to and none of us knowing when all this will be over. It hurts even more for me as these lists have been quite wedding focused so far this year too, as of yet the wedding hasn’t been cancelled and it’s too far away for us to do anything without losing money. But with only 4 months to go I’m slowly having to accept our wedding probably won’t go ahead. I’ve been trying to find small positives in each day to keep me going so I didn’t want to skip this list either. I do still have some wedding things to show on here too and I’ve decided to include them as even if they don’t get used on their original date they will still be at our wedding. Here’s the better side to March.
1. Wedding wise we had a lot going on at the start of the month before everything went tits up. My earrings I plan on wearing on my wedding day turned up and they are just beyond sparkly. We also finished handing out our invites so I revealed how we made them over on my wedding blog. Our gorgeous ring box turned up too and it’s just perfect. Honestly it’s things like the invites and the box that are going to hurt if the wedding doesn’t go ahead as they have the date on them and so much time and money has gone into them. But I’m sure should we have to that we’ll find a solution.
2. Disney pin wise we managed to get March’s release of the Minnie Mouse the Main Attraction which was lucky seen as there’s even more of a fight going on for them now Disney Store’s have closed. We also managed to find an amazing Haunted Mansion one that fits in really well with our Haunted Mansion collection.
3. There have been some positives from this situation though in that I’m home more now so I’m getting to spend a lot more time with my fur babies. I’m a key worker but we’ve been put on a rota of two weeks working from home and one week actually in work and it’s helped me so much. I’ve also had more time to blog so the spark I lost for this little place in February is very much back at the moment. I mean there’s no point in been on my wedding blog at the moment so I might as channel that energy over on this blog!
4. I caved and downloaded TikTok at the end of the month. You won’t find me participating in the challenges as I’ve created it for Buddy and Dobby (I mean I’ve peaked there). It’s just a bit of fun to bring some light to my days. I honestly have no idea what I’m doing with it and I feel very old on there but we’ll see how I get on. If you’d like to follow then search buddy.and.dobby on TikTok.
I can’t say what April will bring, much of the same I’m guessing. By the time we get to that Happy List I might have gone full on crazy cat lady (jokes, I’m there already!). I hope you all manage to find a little bit of happiness in each day.
Tell me in the comments what you’ve done recently to make yourself happy.
