Disney World’s Animal Kingdom: 2018 photos #4

13 September 2019 Leave a Comment

We took a lot of beautiful photos on our 2018 Florida holiday that are just sat on the computer so I thought I’d share them with you so they can be seen in all their glory and appreciated by everyone! There are a lot of photos so there’s going to be a fair few posts like this, I’m going to aim to do one a week until I’m out of photos to share! I’ll be doing one park at a time so I’m going to start with Animal Kingdom. Hope you enjoy this series.
The next and final installment of the Animal Kingdom section of this series is a look at the remaining areas of the park at I haven’t covered yet as I don’t have as many photos of those so I’ve grouped DinoLand U.S.A., Pandora and Discovery Island together. This trip was the first time we got to experience Pandora, unfortunately with going in peak season we didn’t make it onto any of the rides as the queues were just too long.
DinoLand
We don’t actually have many photos from DinoLand as it was raining when we walked through this section, DinoLand is home to Finding Nemo – The Musical though which we stopped off to see. The 40 minute long live action show is well worth seeing, we absolutely love it, it’s definitely Broadway standard which for a theme park show is pretty amazing. Another popular attraction in this area is Dinosaur, a dark thrill ride which we also love.
Discovery Island
Discovery Island is the central point of the park and is home to the parks icon, The Tree of Life, a man-made tree with animal sculptures carved into its trunk. The Discovery River also surrounds the island and all the other areas of the park are connected by bridges from here. We can never get enough photos of The Tree of Life because it’s just an amazing site to see even more so at night!
In side The Tree of Life is the It’s Tough to be a Bug 3D show inspired by A Bug’s Life. This is a fun little show but it’s also great for a rest and a couple down, as the theatre for the show is quite large you’re never waiting very long to get into this attraction and it’s nice and cool inside. Perfect in the Florida heat.
Pandora
Neither of us like Avatar, we found it incredibly boring, however Pandora is absolutely breathtaking. There’s so much to look at and photos will never do the land justice. I would have liked to have gone on the two attractions in this section but as I mentioned the queues were just too long, maybe next time!
I hope you enjoyed my photo diary of  the rest of Animal Kingdom. If you’ve missed Africa, Asia and the park at night make sure to catch up on those! I have posts coming up from all 6 Disney World parks as well as Universal Resort’s 3 parks, Disney Spring and Discovery Cove. This post concludes the Animal Kingdom section of my photo diaries though. We vlogged our whole Florida 2018 holiday so I highly recommend checking those videos out too.
What’s your favourite part of Animal Kingdom? Let me know in the comments!
