OK, so that’s the first quarter of 2023 done. How crazy is that? I did a little first quarter wrap-up over on Instagram and it was lovely to look back at all the happy memories from this year already. I also realised when I sat down to write this that I completely forgot to publish my February Happy List, I don’t think I’ve ever done that! So I’m going to tag a little February update on to the beginning of this post. Let’s take a look back at March (and February!).

I briefly mentioned this in January’s list but at the start of the new year I made myself a vision board for the year. It’s the first time I’ve ever done it but it’s been such a big motivator in chasing after the life I really want. I can’t recommend it enough. I’m a little on the fence with things like manifestation etc but I can totally see why creating a vision board is a useful exercise and it’s definitely something I’m going to do each year just to give me a bit of guidance in living my life the way I want!
February recap
So nothing big happened in February, it was just a month of lots of little nice things. Which I suppose is what these Happy Lists are all about really. A few stand out moments from the month included going to see a string quartet play songs from The Beatles, it was all done by candlelight which was lovely. We got all dressed up for an evening with Harry Redknapp, the food was delicious and Harry was hilarious. We met the sweetest cockerpoo in the pub and he wanted lots of cuddles and belly rubs!
Now lets get into March:
1. Our boiler broke, right on the really cold week with snow. That in itself is definitely not a happy thing, especially as it was pretty expensive to fix. However it did mean lots of lovely cuddles with the cats so we could all keep warm. Also it was looking like we needed a new boiler at one point but my father-in-law took a look at the electrics at actually fixed it which did make me extremely happy!
2. I spent ages look for outfits for when we go to Star Wars Celebration and dropped on these two amazing dresses on Vinted! They’re absolutely amazing and they were such a bargain. I can’t wait to wear them.
3. I went on a trip to Yorkshire wildlife park with work and although it was absolutely exhausting it was a pretty good day out seeing all the animals.
4. There were a lot of birthdays in March so we had a family night out a bowling which was lots of fun. I even came second and managed to beat Josh. I’m usually terrible at bowling!
5. The cats always have to make it onto these lists don’t they?! They’ve been very cute together this month and spent a lot of time together. They are same litter brothers but like all siblings they can get a bit sick of each other sometimes but they going through a phase of spending a lot of time together at the moment which is very nice!
6. Our badges for Star Wars Celebration arrived and they’re incredible. I still can’t believe we’re going to our first ever Celebration. It’s going to be such an amazing experience.
Another quiet but lovely month. There’s a few exciting things coming up over the next few months which I can’t wait to share on these Happy Lists.
I hope you all had a lovely March. Let me know what you got up to in the comments.

This is lovely and it’s great that you call it the ‘Happy List’.
Glad you got the boiler fixed and well done on the bowling!
Looks like you had some interesting events.
This is such a fun uplifting post. I wish there were more of these happy recaps of blogs every month. Thank you for sharing.
It’s so typical that your boiler would brake during a cold spell, I’m glad it’s fixed now – even if it was an expensive fix! x

I love your happy lists, Lauren! I can’t believe the first quarter is over already, how bloody fast did that go? Sounds like March was a nice month for you (apart from the boiler oh dear god) – I hope April is just as good! xxx
A Star Wars celebration sounds right up my street.
Generally quiet months filled with lovely experiences are such a gift; the best kind to have, and it sounds like you really had some fab moments (apart from the boiler). I hope April continues in much the same way for you!
