Well hello and happy new year! It’s always a bit strange writing and publishing a super festive post in January but that’s just the way these posts go! December was a pretty good month, I absolutely love Christmas and all the run up so I knew it would be a good month anyway but it was so nice to finally reach my favourite time of the year because in all honesty 2021 was not great for me so I was just super ready for the festivities. Here’s how December went.

1. December brought lots of fun days out. After not being able to do anything festive last year it was nice to be able to do all my favourite things again. We went out for a Christmas carvery, I had my annual Christmas father and daughter day with my dad and we visited Yorkshire Wildlife park for the Winter Illuminations. I just love Christmassy days out!
2. This Christmas was our first Christmas as Mr and Mrs so of course it deserved a new bauble for the tree! I just love filling our Christmas tree with special ornaments. We also celebrated 14 years together in December. We didn’t do much as it’s the week before Christmas plus we’ll probably save the bigger celebrations for our wedding anniversary now but we did get an Indian takeaway and watch Christmas movies!
3. My Christmas holidays from work rolled around. I’m lucky enough to get 3 weeks off work at Christmas but it was so needed. After a long term it was great to just unwind and relax and not really do much especially after we’d been so busy earlier in the month!
4. Christmas itself wasn’t really any different to normal for us. We always just have Christmas dinner together but we did have plenty of visitors then spent the evening at Josh’s mums with plenty of gin and board games.
So that was December and Christmas. Another year over with. Who knows what 2022 will have instore, let’s just hope it’s better than the last two years.
I hope you all had a wonderful December. Let me know what you got up to in the comments!

I’m glad you had a lovely Christmas Lauren, you can’t beat a board game at Christmas! x

You really can’t! It’s what the Christmas break is for!
Gin and board games sound like the perfect evening! I always love reading your happy lists 🙂 x
It always means a lot when others enjoy reading them as they’re my favourite posts to write.
Sounds like you had an amazing December filled with lots of Christmas festivities! We went to a couple of Christmas markets this year which was really nice. I just love Christmas! Thank you so much for sharing this with us. Xo
