Another month down and we really are edging closer to the end of the year now aren’t we? Only two more months to go! It’s no secret the the ‘ber’ months are my absolute favourites. But those final three months of the year are just the absolute best aren’t they? October and December are definitely my joint favourites but November is great for getting cosy and getting excited for Christmas too. Well one of my favourite months has already been and gone and October was pretty good to be honest!

October treated me well and spooky season did not let me down. Here’s how the month went!
1. We got our professional wedding photos back! The month started great when our professional wedding photo gallery landed in my inbox. I absolutely adore our wedding photos and it was so nice to see candid moments captured and things we hadn’t seen. We’re planning a bit of a gallery wall upstairs with our photos so I can’t wait to get started on it. I’ve only included one professional photo here but I’ve shared a post over on my wedding blog with lots more photos and I have loads of other wedding posts planned on there too.
2. We’ve spent a lot of time with our niece and nephew this month. Half way through the month they moved to the same village as us so it’s been really great to spend a lot more time with them. Also we get dog walking duties whenever we like too. It’s great! Kids and a dog that we can have fun with but then get to hand back haha. The best of both worlds!
3. I decided to treat myself to a brand new outfit for a night away we had and it was super out of my comfort zone. I fell in love with the top and jeans you can see above though so decided to try and be a bit more confident about my body and buy them. I felt a million dollars for our date night and I’m so glad I pushed all the doubts out of my mind. There’d have been a time I wouldn’t have even tried an outfit like that on never mind buy it. I’m determined to make my thirties a time of acceptance and confidence though!
4. Speaking of our night away. We headed to a local spa hotel. It was actually my belated 30th birthday present but we were so busy in the summer with weddings that we decided to wait until I was next off work again. It was so nice to just spend the night away from home, relax, enjoy the spa facilities, eat good food and drink cocktails!
5. It wouldn’t be an October Happy List without mentioning Halloween would it? I love Halloween so I was very happy to get all of our decorations out and spend most weekends in October watching spooky movies! The only problem is the living room looks bare now we’ve taken it all down and I’ve been told there’s no Christmas until December!
6. We went out for Halloween for the first time since we were at university. It was a great night even if we did drink slightly too much which we definitely cannot handle anymore. We loved dressing up too!
7. I also had a week off work and it was really nice to get to see my husband more and just relax. I’m on the big countdown already though for my Christmas holidays as I’m lucky enough to get three weeks off for Christmas!
So that was October. I also managed to publish most of my October content that I wanted to, though not it all as I was too busy just enjoying life. Oh and I completed 100 Miles for Mind in October too which was so much harder than I thought it would be, I did it though! Honestly though, the Christmas countdown is very much on for me now, it’s just the absolute best. Let’s see what November brings.
How was October for you? Let me know in the comments.

It sounds like an amazing time overall — I love the idea of spending time at a spa hotel; it sounds so relaxing. I really like the idea of doing a ‘happy list’ at the end of each month as it’s a really nice reminder of the positive things that happen. Thanks for sharing!
