So it’s official, we’re over half way through the year now which is terrifying. I don’t know where time is going. We were blessed with some gorgeous weather in June though right when I had two weeks off work too. I did nothing but sit in the garden and read, I got through so many books! My June book reviews post is going to have to be split in two I read that many books!

June had its ups and downs but overall it was an enjoyable month. The time off work was definitely needed but I’m still on the countdown to the big summer holidays (if you work in a school, you get me!). Here’s how my month went:
1. As I’ve mentioned, June was a big reading month for me. When the weather is nice I like nothing more than sitting in the garden and reading. Luckily I got two whole weeks of work to do nothing but exactly that. I actually read 8 books in June which is great for me as I only usually manage around 3! My roundup of books is going to have to be split in two I think or it will be a huge post!
2. I planted some flowers in the garden while I was off work and by the end of the month they’d all bloomed. They look really lovely. I always like having flowers in the garden as it really brightens it up.
3. I decided to treat myself to a bath bomb subscription box in June. Bathe Enchanted make wonderful Disney inspired bath products and when I saw that their June subscription box was going to be Epcot themed, I knew I had to grab one. Epcot is my favourite Disney park. The products have been lovely and I’m excited to see July’s box!
4. At almost 30 years old I used fake tan for the first time ever in June. I think I’m fully converted. I love having a tan and despite my fears I’d go orange, I actually didn’t do too bad and I loved having a nice golden glow. It’s a bit of a chore to apply and I’m not a fan of the overpowering smell but I can’t believe it took me so long to give fake tanning a go.
5. Josh and I gave notice of marriage (again!) in June. We did it last year when we were supposed to get married last summer but it only lasts a year which means we had to do it again ready for our wedding in August.
So that was June! I’m really excited for July as there’s a lot going on. My hen party, finishing work for the summer, my 30th birthday and the lead up to the wedding!
How was June for you? Let me know in the comments.

Your June sounded lovely! Lots of fun things to do and also lots of nice skincare and girlie days. That’s what is missing from my life right now I think!
Rosie
Thank you, it was pretty good!
I’m so happy your wedding is going ahead that’s great news! I’m excited to read your book round up as I think 8 books is incredible x
Ah thanks! I’m just so glad to finally have the wedding.
I am really jealous of those two weeks off that you had the chance to read 6 books!
Hope july will also be a great month for you!
Thanks! It was a great two weeks!
Great post! I’m glad your garden turned out well and these are some great positives from the past month 🙂
Thank you!
It sounds like you had a great June! I have to admit, I’m a little jealous. I would love to spend two weeks reading out in the garden. thanks for sharing your happy list!
It was absolutely perfect!
Truly mind blowing how quickly the year is going! Love that you treated yourself to a bath bomb subscription, sounds heavenly!
Oh it really is! It’s crazy.

I love reading such posts! Glad to hear that you had a good time in June. All the best for getting married and all the prep! (I think that’s what the marriage notice is for? I’m not completely sure haha)
Thank you!
Great post. I bet your garden is amazing!
Thank you!
These are all really great. I too started using sunless tanning lotion. I love Jergens natural glow. It is my favorite so far. I just get the light medium color and it is just enough to add a nice sun kissed glow and not orange as many would expect. Awesome post!
That’s great! I’m not sure we have that one over here in the U.K. but it sounds amazing!
I love reading your happy lists! 9 books are amazing, I normally manage 3 as well – I think I read 4 in June. I hope July is great for you xx
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoy reading these posts.
