13 years

It’s come to that time of year again, our anniversary. Last year was supposed to be the last one before we got married but it wasn’t meant to be. So here we are again. Still fiancé and fiancée and hoping that this really is the last time I have to say that this is our last dating anniversary before we get married.

So yeah, 13 years. We’re in the teens now which is just absolutely bloody crazy. I cannot get my head around it at all! They say 13 is unlucky but I reckon it’s been pretty special for us. Even if we couldn’t get married as planned (cheers Rona). We’ve spent a lot of time together this year and not doing the fun things we like to do either as most of it has been at home just like everyone else. It’s been a funny old year with not much to celebrate but it’s certainly not the toughest year we’ve gone through together.

I was so sure that writing this we’d be Mr and Mrs G but it’s just going to make next year even better. And you can be sure that I’ll still be celebrating our dating anniversary as well as our wedding anniversary because after this long together you sort of have to!

I wish I could write about all the fun adventures we’ve had over the last year but just keeping each other sane was enough for this year and supporting each other through the funny old world of work in a pandemic too.

So here’s to year 14 and to finally getting married! To my taller half, I’ll always love you xx
