The top 10 books of 2019

6 January 2020 Leave a Comment

2019 was my best year for reading yet. Although I took the decision to stop writing book reviews on here in June, I of course couldn’t resist sharing my top 10 books of 2019.

The top 10 books of 2019

I don’t think book reviews will make a return to the blog as they just don’t fit in with where I’d like my blog to go and I simply don’t enjoy writing them anymore but I still love reading and I’ve set myself a reading challenge on Goodreads again if you want to follow along there. In 2019 I started my reading challenge at 20 books the same as I have this year and then as I get near the goal I up it. In 2019 I managed to double my initial reading goal and I read 40 books! The most I’ve ever read!
So without further ado, here are my top 10 books of 2019 (in no particular order):

1. The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton

2. The Craftsman by Sharon J. Bolton

3. The Taking of Annie Thorne by C. J. Tudor

4. Marina by Carlos Ruiz Zafon

5. This Is Going to Hurt by Adam Kay

6. Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman
7. Vox by Christina Dalcher
8. Wakenhyrst by Michelle Paver
9. The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman
10. The Christmasaurus by Tom Fletcher
I’ve done a whole vlog about my favourite books of 2019 so if you’d like a bit more detail on each of the books then give it a watch below!

What was your favourite book of 2019? Let me know in this comments.
