Happy List: November 2019

4 December 2019 Leave a Comment

December is here! Can you tell I’m excited. We have officially reached my favourite time of the year and the best month of the year. It’s absolutely crazy to think that this is the last Happy List I’ll write in 2019 as December’s list will be published in January. November has been a busy month and towards the end the festive fun really began to start which definitely got me in the Christmas spirit.

1. We began a little living room makeover this month. The living room was one of the first rooms to be decorated when we bought our house and after 3 years I really wanted something a little bit different. Once the makeover is done I will be writing a full post but so far we’ve repainted our feature wall, got new cushions and for the first time we’ve bought a rug which has made the room much cosier. We’d like a new lamp and a new armchair too at some point.
2. We got our wedding cupcake samples this month and they did not disappoint. We initially selected vanilla, chocolate and toffee cupcakes and we were really happy with all three flavours so that’s what we’ll be having at the wedding. They were the best cupcakes I’ve ever eaten!
3. We took a trip to our favourite city, Liverpool to visit the market and see all the Christmas lights. My mum has never been to Liverpool so earlier in the year we all decided to have a festive trip there. It was so nice to show my mum around our favourite city and share with her why we love it so much!
4. We went to the local Christmas lights switch on this year and in all honesty it’s normally something we’d avoid like the plague but alongside the switch on was a three day light installation trail around the town which grabbed our attention. We went on the opening night so we could see the lights being switched on at the town hall which also happens to be our wedding venue and we really enjoyed it. Not only was it great seeing our wedding venue all done up for Christmas but we had a really lovely night walking around our town to all the different location of the light and art installations.
5. We had our first Christmas meal of the season toward to end of the month when we had a family get-together and headed out for a big Christmas carvery! It was delicious but I was so full after!
I can’t wait for more festive fun throughout December. The build up to Christmas is always my favourite and I’m ready to just soak up the magical atmosphere and enjoy the most wonderful time of the year.
How was November for you? Let me know in the comments.
