Disney World’s Blizzard Beach: 2018 photos

20 September 2019 Leave a Comment

We took a lot of beautiful photos on our 2018 Florida holiday that are just sat on the computer so I thought I’d share them with you so they can be seen in all their glory and appreciated by everyone! There are a lot of photos so there’s going to be a fair few posts like this, I’m going to aim to do one a week until I’m out of photos to share! I’ll be doing one park at a time and today I’ve moved on to Blizzard Beach. Hope you enjoy this series.

We only spent one day at Blizzard Beach so there’s only going to be one post for this park. We absolutely love water parks on our Florida holidays and Disney water parks are my personal favourite as they’re a bit more chilled out and tame and for someone who isn’t a massive fan on thrill rides, that’s great. The Disney water parks still have some bigger rides which keeps Josh happy too!

The lazy river at Blizzard Beach is really long and it’s super easy to just chill out in a tube and wind around the lazy river a few times. Although it’s not quite as relaxing when Josh pushes your tube under every freezing cold fountain he can. The hut on the first photo of the lazy river jets out freezing cold water as the person living in it has a cold and sneezes, Josh loves to hold me under that as the sneeze is building up and laugh at me getting showered in freezing water!

I’m far too much of a wuss for the big thrill ride at Blizzard Beach which is Summit Plummit which happens to be one of the tallest and fastest free fall water slides in the world but Josh loves it. Word of warning though, it does make your back very red. I watch for Josh coming down and everyone who gets off has a bright red back from sliding over the joints of the slide really fast!

Whilst Blizzard Beach isn’t my favourite Disney water park, I do love a day there. I don’t think our holidays would be complete without it. We’d quite happily spend all day in the lazy river but we do always enjoy the slides we go on too. On our visit last year we didn’t even bother getting sun loungers we just made our way around the slides and when we wanted to relax we got into the lazy river. It really was the most perfect water park day.

I hope you enjoyed my photo diary of Blizzard Beach, it’s made me really miss it. I have posts coming up from all 6 Disney World parks as well as Universal Resort’s 3 parks, Disney Springs and Discovery Cove. We vlogged our whole Florida 2018 holiday so I highly recommend checking those videos out too.
Which Disney water park is your favourite? Let me know in the comments.
