A sense of sadness that the festive season is drawing to a close, reflecting, planning, nervousness and excitement for the year ahead, all dressed up and nowhere to go, nights in over nights out, enough party food to feed an army, music, games, getting merry, cracking out beer pong, cats chasing the ping pong balls, more food, more drink, BBC fireworks, realising you’ve drunk more than you should, falling in to bed.That’s what New Year’s Eve night looks like in our home.
