The Christmas Tag

I love Christmas so I thought it would be fun to do the Christmas tag questions so you can get to know a little bit more about me in a festive way!

What is your favourite Christmas Movie?
All of them! Seriously though I love Christmas films. If I really had to pick I'd say Muppets Christmas Carol, Polar Express and the Disney version of Christmas Carol (with Jim Carrey) are my absolute favourites.

Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?
Josh and I usually exchange one small present on Christmas Eve then open the rest of our present on Christmas morning.

Do you have a favourite Christmas memory?
Christmas as a child in general always fills me with fond memories, waking up early and going downstairs to find out if Santa had been. As an adult I'd say my favourite Christmas memory would be from last year, finally getting to spend Christmas in our own home, something I'd waited for for a long time.

Favourite festive food?
All of the food! Seriously I love Christmas dinner, turkey sandwiches, a party food tea but I think most of all I love bubble and squeak on boxing day.

Favourite Christmas gift?
As a child I'd have to say the huge Playmobil Victiorian house that my parents bought me one year. As an adult I'd say the ring Josh bought me around 8 years ago and the trip to Amsterdam my Dad and stepmum got us last year.

Favourite Christmas scent?
Cinnamon and gingerbread. I can't get enough of warming, spicy smells at this time of year and fill my house with candles, fragrance oils and wax melts to get the warming festive smell.

Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?
We usually open one small present each, have a takeaway for tea and then watch Muppets Christmas Carol and Polar Express.

What tops your tree?
A glittery star.

As a kid, what was the one (crazy, wild, extravagant) gift you always asked for but never received?
I don't think I ever asked for anything wild or extravagant, I remember wanting one of those doll styling heads that you could put makeup on and style its hair for many years but I never got one. I also remember being given the choice one year of presents or a trip to Disneyland and I chose presents and adult me still regrets that decision!

What's the best part about Christmas for you?
Definitely the run up to it. I mean I start getting excited for Christmas in September but when the Christmas ads start appearing in November I get a little bit more excited then as soon as December 1st rolls around, that's it it's just full blown excitement from that point on. From festive days out, decorating the tree and wrapping presents I love everything leading up to Christmas.
