The other week when I was packing my stuff up to move rooms, I was faced with a daunting task... Sorting out my shoes! I don't have a huge collection but it's by no means small either. I lined all my shoes up and took in just how many pairs I had then I looked again and realised that all but three pairs from my collection have been purchased in the last couple of years meaning I've spent I fair bit of money on shoes whilst I've been at uni. This wasn't even counting the pairs I have back at home either. I count myself lucky to be able to afford to adorn my feet in pretty chelsea boots, summer sandals and everything inbetween but some people aren't as lucky, some people can't afford one pair of decent shoes to protect their feet and that's why I'm writing this post. To spread the word about Febshoeary.

Febshoeary is the brain child of blogger Madison. It's estimated that 300 million children worldwide don't have a pair of adequate shoes and that 1.4 billion people suffer from diseases that could be prevented if they had suitable shoes. We think nothing of buying a new pair of shoes and we think nothing of throwing old pairs out which is why we put 790,000 tons of perfectly good footwear and clothing in landfills in 2010. Throughout February Madison will be doing everything in a pair of 4.5 inch heels, and she means everything, in the hopes of raising awareness and money for Soles4Souls, a charity that's already given shoes to more the 19 million people worldwide.

So this is where you lot come in, amazingly just £1 can buy one pair of shoes. Now I don't know about you lot but I find that astonishing when I don't think twice about dropping £50 on two pairs of boots (this did happen the other week). So please show you support to Madison's painful yet amazing task and spread the word and donate. Remember just £1 = one pair of shoes!
