Cocktail Hour

Well actually more like cocktail week. I feel I've some what fulfilled the typical student role this week as drink has been involved on a few occasions.
On Monday one of my journalism lecturers decided that we should all have an end of year drink he actually got quite excited at the prospect. As he's one of the best lecturers we felt obliged to go and join him for an hour. This turned into 5 hours as after we'd drank all the alcohol he'd brought in we ended up in the pub. Unfourtunately I made quite an embarrassment of my self on the way home, having consumed too much alcohol on an empty stomach, however most of this I can't remember but Josh keeps reminding me! It's safe to say that night I was very ill...I'm not proud of it.
Tuesday was spent recovering from Monday afternoons drinking.
On Wednesday I joined Josh on his student radio show, this is the second time I've been now and I actually quite enjoy it. I don't do much but it's fun. Surprisingly I do quite a lot of talking on it which I thought I'd be too shy to do!
Thursday involved more drink. A group of us decided to go out in Birmingham, we've been once before as a group but we wanted to go as we're not going to see each other for a long time now. As uni has pretty much finished (except for exams) most people are off home (me and Josh are staying for a bit...we quite like living here on our own). Unfortunately we all live sooo far apart so it's going to be practically impossible to see anyone for about 6 months now. I'm really going to miss people. Anyway Thursday was a good night, we didn't get in until 6 this morning I actually feel quite good. It was a really good night.
And that brings us to today Friday, I've not done a great deal apart from have a couple of hours sleep when I got back from Birmingham but I think I'm going to go out and enjoy the sunshine now.

The past few days...#1

It's been a busy few days as Josh's mum and dad came down to visit us on Thursday for a few days. That has kept me quite busy as I usually have a lot of spare time at the end of the week. On Thursday night we went to Old Orleans for a meal.

On Friday we went to Oxford, the weather wasn't that good so I'm not sure if that affected what I thought about the place but I had expected it to be better. It was really pretty with some nice shops but I had thought it would be better than it was.

After Oxford we went to Taybarns where we all had soo much to eat. Josh's parents went home yesterday so we both made the most of the lovely warm sunshine in the afternoon and went to sit near Coventry Cathedral with some sandwich's, unfortunately there aren't any parks near to us so that was the next best thing.

Happy Birthday!

Today was my boyfriend Josh's 22nd birthday so I thought I'd dedicate a little post to him just to say happy birthday. We've not really done anything as we've had uni and stuff but I baked him a nice big chocolate cake and cooked a nice meal for us tonight.

Presents, balloon and banners!

Presents and a nice bottle of wine!

So this is my first blogger post and I'm just a little bit excited mainly because its took me 3 months to set this blog up! I'm sure I was making things difficult for myself but after watching several videos yesterday and spending 3 hours at my laptop I've figured it out. I actually feel quite proud.
So my usual Sundays consist of a lie in, nice breakfast, bit of shopping then a Starbucks with my boyfriend Josh. However today I didn't get the lie in and the breakfast was more like brunch. First the lovely neighbours woke me up at about 7.30 and then when we finally got up we found out there'd been a power cut and we'd had no electricity for around 5 hours so that made breakfast a little late. Plus I actually held back from shopping today due to having no money. However I did get a Starbucks, I usally order the same thing caramel coffee frappuccino...yum, but I thought I'd be adventurous today and order their  new iced cocoa cappuccino big big mistake. A hot drink with ice thrown in isn't too nice! So i'll remember in future to stick to what I know.
